DECISION THAT COULD OPEN A HUGE DOOR

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 New King James Version) Hope is something the world craves, our soul craves, we were made for hope. We die without hope, we thrive with hope. Hope is a positive expectation of future good. Hope is a smile at the future, it is a joy of the possibility of something we see coming to pass. Hope is deeper than a wish. A wish is something we would like to happen because it would be nice wouldn’t it? Hope is connected to deeper desires, somewhere connected to your purpose and call in life. Hopes have their roots in Christ. Because He is the designer of hope. Hope is the most recognisable characteristic of faith. We need no convincing that hope is a quality demonstrated by the personal

DO IT NOW

Procrastination is very expensive! When we delay our decisions, we have to think over again, that takes time and emotional energy. Procrastinate again, and now you are thinking it through a 3rd time, expending more energy and time. The ‘do it now’ person will have made 3 decisions, or taken 3 actions in the time we have taken 1. Let’s be honest, of course, that some decisions really do need much more thorough consideration than others. But we know when we are procrastinating and when we really do need more information to make a more informed decision. There is a difference. Procrastination can be expensive, because we miss the deal. If we acted when our instinct told us that ‘we should snap it up now’, or ‘make that call now’ we could have won that deal, or made that investment

However, after I graduated college, I realised since the world wasn’t going to change, I would have to. A few days later, I started my first sales job. Some people focus on their strengths to win the life they want. I didn’t. I choose the opposite, and by studying socially intelligent people, and taking the time to learn from my own successes and failures when interacti

HOW TO ASK FOR A PAY RISE AND THE LESSONS WE CAN LEARN

In 2001 I hit a moment in my career where it was clear to me that I deserved to be paid more than I was for the job I was doing.  So right was I that an attitude began to develop.  ‘If they don’t pay me more I’m out of here’ was what I would say (to myself!) Then God convicted me - I should not leave the company with an attitude unresolved.  So I began to work on my attitude.  I became content with my job and stayed. Not long after I was asked to take on a role that was not only a dream job, it also allowed me to fit it around my new pastoring role and was paid nearly double for it.  Not a coincidence I think! “God if you don’t answer this prayer, I’m out of here!” How many of us have reached a point where we have got frustrated, disappointed or angry with God for something He h
