Unashamed!

  For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. Philippians 1:20 Some years ago I was sitting in a meeting in which there was a disagreement in the room.  I remember beginning to get agitated and I eventually walked out. Go ahead … Boast!

But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 10:17 Paul in this passage is talking about boasting. To give glory is, simply put, to boast in another. How do you boast? "You should have seen how good I was!" "I have an incredible new car, LOOK!" "I am one of the best employees in my company" Boasting in this manner is a put off to anyone. But using this same manner toward another is as powerfully positive as the other is negative. The greatest glory of a man is to give glory, his greatest honour is in giving honour. Boast in the lord and you'll have no need to boast in you. His glory will rest on you as you give glory to Him.
