Financial Life, Personal Life

What comes first?

Today I am not posing a conundrum.  What comes first? The chicken or the egg?  Nothing quite as deep as that.  But I am simply posing the question is it important what we do in what order? Well the answer is absolutely, yes.  What you do first determines what time there is left to do other things.  Therefore, if we want to ensure the most significant things get done, they must be done first. The same is true of our giving.  If we give with whats leftover, very often we won't be giving at all or will at least not be able to freely determine how much we give.  Lets take a look at a moment in Abraham's giving: The lord told him, “Bring me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 So Abram presented all these to

WHAT IS DELEGATION? synonyms for delegation: assignment, entrusting, giving, committal, devolution, deputation,  key concepts in delegation:  'Mission':  delegation is purposeful, it is definable.  'Entrusting': delegation is the giving away of work tasks, projects or assignments with a trust that it will be completed to a certain standard.  'Deputation':  the one who is delegated to is acting on behalf of another. WHY DELEGATION IS IMPORTANT Delegation makes the best use of your skills and time, whilst, at the same time it empowers & s

Workout on Faith

"Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8 NLT) Paul compares physical and spiritual training. The latter being much more beneficial. But lets take the concept of physical training for a moment to show us how we can be in spiritual training: - training is best done by routine - it is best to workout for a certain amount of time and for a certain frequency ... choose your time and length of time you are going to spend each day in prayer and in the bible - workout where the gear is - at the gym, at home around your gear, out if you are running ... Find your place, where are you going to pray each day? What works for you? - a good workout should leave you with the memory of it for a d

A Minute in Colossians – Day 7

This is the last day of our 7 daily 1 minute bible studies, which have taken us I through these 2 verses: "I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. 3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Colossians 2:2,3 Today we look at the words "Christ Himself"... Filmed in multiple locations from my living room to the city, we will look at a different topic each day such as desire, encouragement, confidence and more. Stay tuned and be encouraged this week.
