The power of a child

You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you. Psalm 8:2 There is no doubt the power of a child that speaks of the strength of God.  The faith of a child as they declare and praise Jesus binds the forces of hell and releases the power of heaven. We should never make God sound like a religious figure or the Bible a set of stories that sound like fantasy. Children should be taught the realness of God, the ways of His grace and shown the demonstration of His power.  The natural believing element of a child will turn the Truth of the bible into power very easily. They are a force in overcoming the enemy. Out of the lips of children will come true praise. Praise that has pure motive, that is not 'too' clever, that shows of

Look Up!

"You know the saying, '4 months between planting and harvest.' But I say, wake up and LOOK around. The fields are already ripe for harvest." Luke 4:35 Looking up changes perspective. From then to now. From earth to heaven. From down to up. From sick to healed. Peter and John said to the lame man at the temple "look up at us!"  They were taking the man's eyes off the expectation of a financial report and onto Jesus, a change report. The shepherd's in the fields of Bethlehem, looked up for a weather report and saw angels and got a praise report. Their lives were forever changed. Look up and worship. Look up and see people, everywhere. Ready! Barnabas looked up and saw Paul when none else wanted anything to do with Him.  Look up and see others potential. Every human being is worth

Praise unlocking the Extraordinary

They continued steadfastly in praising God … Acts 2:42 & 47 One of the features described of the early explosive Church that saw, daily, people added to them was their decision to remain steadfast in praise. There is no doubt that praise unlocks the extraordinary in the ordinary routines of life. Enter His gates with thanksgiving & His courts with PRAISE  Psalm 100:4 Let us come before His presence with THANKSGIVING  Psalm 95:2 Giving thanks ALWAYS for ALL things  Ephesians 5:20 His praise shall CONTINUALLY be in my mouth  Psalm 34:1 in EVERYTHING give thanks; for this is the WILL OF GOD in Christ Jesus for you 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Develop a habit of thanks.  The heart goes cold when you lose the spirit of thanks. With praise, with thanks, with an appreciation o

I’m Coming In !

When the police are on a raid, banging on a door, shouting for a response and getting none, they will count and then shout "WE'RE COMING IN !" How determined are we to find what it is we're looking for? Focused intent will usually get you somewhere.  How focused and intentional are we at finding God TODAY?   Hunger for His presence will cause you to find all you need right now. 4 things I have found open the gate to His presence: 1. Confess sin – repentance always opens a door to His presence. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the PRESENCE of the Lord. Acts 3:19 For as long as we cover our sin and fight against our guilt, we never enter. But the very moment we turn from it times of refreshing fills our

Go ahead … Boast!

But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 10:17 Paul in this passage is talking about boasting. To give glory is, simply put, to boast in another. How do you boast? "You should have seen how good I was!" "I have an incredible new car, LOOK!" "I am one of the best employees in my company" Boasting in this manner is a put off to anyone. But using this same manner toward another is as powerfully positive as the other is negative. The greatest glory of a man is to give glory, his greatest honour is in giving honour. Boast in the lord and you'll have no need to boast in you. His glory will rest on you as you give glory to Him.
