A Flippin’ Good Life!

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 It is God's desire that you prosper, in every area of your everyday life. In your marriage, with your children, in your work and finances, in your health and soul, in your friendships.  John in his older years sees with perspective about what is important in life - not the achievement of goals, ambitions or the accumulation of wealth only. But a holistic life that is on an upward journey. A healthy and prospering life will always end up being fruitful, productive, and achieving of ambitions.  But put the focus the other way around and life becomes self-consuming. There are 3 things that stand in the way of us seeing our lives prosperous or desiring this for others: 1. Doubt

Soul Health

When I say soul I am referring to mind and emotions primarily. Lets look at how we can improve these 2 areas of our world. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 NLT Worry is the devil of the mind.  Life is loaded with potentials for worry if we don’t control it. I know people who if they are not worrying about something they worry about that! Stop the worry. Give it away; don’t just pray, leave it there.  Bring it under your control. Be the master of your own mind. Undervalue is the devil of the soul. Mature your emotional world by developing a healthy sense of personal value.  Don’t go cheap all the time.  What about eating out less but when you do go in style.  What about buying less clot

3-in-1 Health

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Our well-being is never down to any one factor alone.  We are 3 in 1. Body, soul and spirit.  The health of one will effect the other. Your best life will be lived by taking care of each of these 3 areas. If you struggle with a low-self esteem you will find it harder to relate to God.  Changing your mind about yourself will effect your spirit life. If you are constantly exhausted through lack of sleep and exercise your mind will not have the fight in it to overcome life’s battles and temptations. If you let your heart go you will find this could effect your body.  A sick heart is not good for your health.
