Matters of the Heart

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.  Proverbs 4:23 Everything we do in life is shaped by the condition of our hearts.  We make or break things depending on the condition of our hearts.  The direction of our lives will flow out of what we hold in our hearts. What comes first?

Today I am not posing a conundrum.  What comes first? The chicken or the egg?  Nothing quite as deep as that.  But I am simply posing the question is it important what we do in what order? Well the answer is absolutely, yes.  What you do first determines what time there is left to do other things.  Therefore, if we want to ensure the most significant things get done, they must be done first.
