BE ONE!

Just as peace is not simply the absence of conflict, it is a substance and behaviour all in its' own right; and likewise joy is not defined as the absence of sadness, so unity is not defined as the absence of disunity. Clearly there is an absence of disunity when there is unity but this is not the purpose or the definition. Light is not the absence of darkness. Quite the opposite - darkness is the absence of light. Light is the quality not darkness. Unity is a substance all on its own - therefore it is an action - it’s tangible. BE ONE Let’s talk about unity. Inclusive Perspective

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.  God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 There is a danger in life that we make certain jobs, gifts or services look exclusive, like they are better than others, or certain people must not do them, or we get defensive of others coming on 'our patch'. We will seize opportunities by : 1. Being alert (vs 14) "The secret of success in life is for a man ...

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing--Life forevermore. Psalm 133:1-3 'Behold' - David is making a statement that there is something here that will make you stop & take notice. Unity is powerful in its attraction. It is 'good'. Unity is not a loss of ones own mind, a surrender of ones own thinking capability. Unity is a choice we make for good, not simply a feeling. It requires strength and a thinking person to make it. It is good and 'pleasant'. 'Pleasant' because there is something in us all that t...
