He Is Real

What then shall we say to these things? If God is FOR US, who can be against us?  Romans 8:31

God turns up in our lives, not in video, hologram, or twitter, but in person!
He is not a veneer. The Pharisees were white-washed stones. God is Real.

The Gospel writers tell us He spoke as one having ‘real’ authority.  The Apostle John tells us He shows real love, turned up in real flesh to reached out & find us.

Paul to the Corinthians says some think idols are real – but they are not!  Things around us aren’t as real as God Himself or the things He does.  God is the centre of all true reality.  Without Him nothing has the same depth of meaning or purpose.  He is real.

Paul says to the Roman believers – I want to see you face-to-face to impart something to you.  Some business needs to be transacted face-to-face.  God wants to turn up and do life with you every day.  He is for you.

He turns up to make everything good in its time.  Just a few verses earlier Paul says this:

And we know that ALL THINGS work together FOR GOOD to those who LOVE GOD Romans 8:28

Whatever area you feel incomplete in, broken in, weak in – HE RESTORES and makes good.  He is real. He is for you.

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.  Matthew 12:20

Jesus told the 10 lepers to go and see the priests.  Seemed like the ultimate rejection to a group of people who were already feeling outcast.  But Luke 17:14 records “And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.”

Keep walking, trusting, believing – You get restored on the way.  Because He is real, He is for you, He is working for your good. In your work, your marriage, your parenting, in fact in every area imaginable, He restores.

He restored Peter from denial and rejection.
He put faith back in John the Baptist who whilst in prison had started to wonder what it was all about.
He restored David & Bathsheba – so much so that their illegitimate son, Solomon became one of the most well known kings of all time.
Naomi lost her husband and sons – but God brought restoration through her daughter-in-law Ruth

A returning prodigal he will not turn away.
If God is for us who can be against us?

This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.  Zechariah 9:12

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten”  Joel 2:25

For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds.  Jeremiah 30:17

You will restore me and make me live  Isaiah 38:16

Why not believe today that all things are working out for your good.  See you in Church.

Dear God.  I thank you for Jesus.  I want you to restore my life.  Forgive me and heal me. I choose today to follow you.  I thank you that you forgive me.  I thank you that I am saved. Amen
