Why, how & when

Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

Here is an interesting thought for you.

We understand the fact that we should be thankful.  We are thankful for what God has done for us. We are thankful for what He is doing and going to do.  We are thankful for what He did last Sunday in Church, for what He did in our work on Monday.  But have you ever thought about being thankful for the why, how and when?

Try this “God I thank you for why you did that for me”, “I thank you for how you are going to solve that problem”, “I am grateful for when you are going to do it”.

The what is extremely important for us to be grateful for but still leaves us often focussed on something God has done for us (which is okay).  However, when we begin to be thankful for the ‘why’ we step back and see the bigger picture – His love for us, His ultimate goal to build the Church, to win a person to Christ, His generosity…

When we focus on giving thanks for how and when we are grateful for what might not fit our own favoured timeframe or method and so we are more ready and grateful for His higher ways – we are yielded.

Try being thankful today and always, in all things for what, why, when and how God is working in your life, your work, your family, your Church and the people around you.  He is God!
