#ALLIN PEOPLE

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out WHERE IT IS DEEPER, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”  Luke 5:4

Jesus is the master at leading us to places that require us to step out.  But He does it for good reasons, He is looking for us to make a huge catch.  We limit our possibilities by staying within the zone we are familiar with. Its when we live an ‘all in’ sort of life in God, taking those fearsome steps that we find ourselves highly fruitful.

Here are 8 characteristics of those living an ‘all in’ sort of life:

  1. #ALLIN people follow the EXAMPLE of Jesus

Jesus was Himself a #ALLIN person, fully surrendered to His Father.  He even got baptised when He of all people never really needed to – so much was He wanted to demonstrate He was ‘all in’.  He raised others to be the same.

  1. #ALLIN people are HELPING build the kingdom of God

The casual person never changed world – those who pay a price and commit to being kingdom builders change the world. A #ALLIN person comes off the benches and gets into the game.  A #ALLIN person is a kingdom builder.

  1. Being a #ALLIN person brings the BEST out of you

When you choose to be a #ALLIN person, you find out what’s in you.  You are tested & stretched but its in the stretch we grow. When you face a mountain and conquer it you stand on the peak.

  1. #ALLIN people live the greatest ADVENTURE

Jesus never called us to an ordinary life – He has given us an extra-ordinary life – don’t live an ordinary life!  Every life will have an element of the mundane it, but make sure the mundane is part of an adventure.  When you give your all to God you will do and see things that you never thought possible and you plant seeds of greatness in others.

  1. #ALLIN people journey with the greatest people

I have discovered that #ALLIN people are the greatest people to be around. They are actually the best people to be around. You will discover lifelong friends as you journey together ‘all in’.

  1. #ALLIN people have an impact on others that is eternal

What a blessing to know people are following Jesus today because we made a decision to become an #Allin person – we will stand in eternity with people who found Christ because we went the extra mile, and did something outside of the ordinary – we gave our lives to serve God.

  1. #ALLIN people are fruitful people

Jesus tells the story of the talents, illustrating 3 men who were each given a sum of money to work with.  Two of them put the money to work and caused it to earn much more.  1 did nothing with his ‘talent’ and had nothing to show for it.  Its only when we give it our all, invest our talent in others that we see the fruit that is meant to follow.

  1. #ALLIN people find their REWARD

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10

God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  I have discovered that as we build God’s house he takes care of our house.  As we look after God’s people – we will find the hand of God upon our lives.

Be an #ALLIN sort of person.  It’s the way you were meant to be.
