We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:19
Christ is what and who Paul is referring to hear. He is the anchor for our soul. In fact He is the anchor for our entire life. We are positioned in Him.
Our position is more powerful than our condition. Our condition needs treating from time to time, but our position defines who we are and what we can achieve.
In Christ we have wisdom and power (amongst many, many other things).
But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:24
One piece of His wisdom can unlock an entire situation.
Can you imagine seeing a car for the very first time and have no manual. You would be excused for not seeing the key whole as its so small. You would think about getting some strong friends and pushing it, pulling it, and rolling it down hills.
However, once you read the manual and find the key, the key placed in the very small key hole gives the car the power to go faster and with considerably less effort than it took 10 men before.
Christ is the wisdom that is the key discovered in His Word – He is the Word. Walk with Christ and in His Word and wisdom will flow, thoughts, insights and ideas that unlock incredible possibilities.
The apostle Peter only a little while after being a fisherman, probably still smelling of fish, is standing before the Sanhedrin (the smartest guys in town), who are amazed at his wisdom. God’s wisdom will even amaze the wisdom of the world.
Once He becomes your wisdom He is also your power. His power is the same power that healed the blind, the leper, raised the dead, created you and the context you are in (the Universe!). His wisdom which gives you power are surely enough for your life today! Be blessed.
