Why wait?

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 'Waiting on the Lord' is the process of giving time to the Lord. Its drawing near with a heart desiring to receive from Him. Waiting on the Lord keeps us realising He is our answer, not other things. Waiting, as the word suggests, involves time and patience. It has in it a sense of expectation. Waiting for what? Clearly waiting for something has a desire in it. isaiah tells us by waiting on the Lord we receive strength, energy, youthfulness and endurance. In what way are we strengthened through waiting?
